Follow these instructions for iOS or Android.
iOS Users
If you're not receiving notifications on iOS, you'll need to enable push notifications for HopUp in the iOS Settings app. On your device, open the Settings app > Notifications > HopUp > make sure "Allow Notifications" is enabled.
Android Users
There could be 2 reasons why you are not receiving push notifications on an Android device.
The first (most common) is having them disabled in your phone's settings. Visit your Settings app, find HopUp in your list of installed apps and enable push notifications if not already enabled.
The second is a known issue in the Android community with force-quitting your apps. In short, device manufacturers are attempting to optimize for battery life by disabling background tasks when you force-quit an app (swiping away an app). This impacts push notifications, alarm clock apps, automation apps and more. The fix varies by device, but can be as simple as disabling "battery optimization" mode for HopUp in your device Settings. Below are links with solutions and deeper explanations for Samsung devices and others.
